Nostalgic Technology of the 2000's

Image
The 2000's really was a decade of the digital revolution. With the evolution of smartphone devices, digital media, entertainment and advancement of internet access. This blog shows release dates of some technologies from the 2000's we all loved- perhaps still used, or missed.  First Apple iPhone- 2007 A critical movement in the smartphone boom, the first generation iPhone was released in 2007. This changes expectations for customers with their smartphones, offering a touchscreen surface and access to multiple apps at a time. The iPhone also made it easy to capture moments with the built in mobile phone camera. By the late 2000's, camera phones became a standard feature. This helped with the development of visual communication platforms and the growth of social media platforms- like Facebook, founded in 2004. iPod- 2001 We couldn't talk about apple without mentioning the iPod- an evolution of the previously popularised MP3 player. However the small and sleek design made...

Top 5 2000's Toys and Games Gen Z will never forget

Image
Looking through this list will bring back some fond childhood memories. These were better than fidget spinners and slime; they were the ones you ran through Toys R Us to find (Rest in Peace). This list will not include game consoles, as I'm planning a separate post on the technology of the 2000s, so stay tuned for that. This list is also of toys and games that were crazed specifically in the 2000s and are not still popularised today, so Barbie is not included. 1. Bop It Extreme I'm sure you can all remember the TV ad for this one and we all played this at the sleepover. With the original Bop It only having 3 simple demands, Bop It Extreme in the 2000s added more demands. This made the toy more exciting as the commands got faster, you could feel the adrenaline trying to get it right, along with the pressure of your friends watching. Who could forget the excitement when getting a new high score.  2. Silly Bandz These were so easy and fun to play with (especially during school). A...

Image
Are you ready for a trip down memory lane? This blog post will debate which TV channel comes out on top when comparing TV shows. Now, I'm sorry to disappoint any Cartoon Network fans but I will specifically focus on Disney Channel VS Nickelodeon, as any other TV channel just doesn't compare. It will also be a discussion on specifically TV shows, so sorry High School Musical but you're out. Let's look first at the Disney Channel then  Born in 2004, my peak Disney Channel Days was around 2008- 2014. So shows like, 'That's so Raven" and "Lizzie McGuire" cannot be fairly judged by me. My earliest Disney Channel memories include the icon herself Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana. The story of the normal High School student turned rock star really was the dream of all young girls in the mid-2000s and had us all singing "The Best of both Worlds" with the Hannah Montana microphone. Let's be honest, even as adults we can't resist singing al...
